The Journey
I developed my first website in early 2000, just before the final exams of FSc (High School), during the academic leave, which was given by the college for the preparations for exams. No, the website was in no way related to my studies or exams. No, I wasn’t a topper or theta, nor I had all the studies covered. But it was exciting and innovative to have your presence online and reaching out to people across the globe, at the time when there were no social networks or dynamic websites or smartphones.
One of those sections, which took the most amount of time, was Islam. This section covered Introduction to Islam and Prayer, English translation of the Quran, Collections of Hadith and Islamic History. Online information on Islam was rear at that time, Unicode support was limited thus the Arabic language was displayed in the image format. I had software on Islam in a CD, I used it to develop 125+ pages, containing the complete English translation of the Quran by M.H Shakir and Sayings of Muhammad SAW by Prof. Ghazi Ahmad.
In 2008 I attended a Google Bloggers’ meetup in Islamabad and consequently launched urShadow’s Blog. I was doing a full-time job thus maintaining a blog looked much more feasible. In the next 10 years, the section Come to Islam became the biggest section with 1400+ posts. Hajj-related posts helped many and people were very kind to support various charity projects.
With time, Google lost interest in the Blogger and it got more and more difficult to maintain almost 7000 posts blog. In 2018, I explored options to give Come to Islam section a dedicated website, which I could manage with full-time job and family and WordPress looked like the right platform.
Introduction to The Clear Evidence: The focus of The Clear Evidence project is Human. The aim is to spread wisdom and help people in need. JazakAllah khair for your time, barakAllahu feq.
