The following message is from a relative, who lives in Lahore and knows them personally:

Housemaid is a Christian woman who works as household help at my relative’s home. She and her family face significant medical and financial hardships, as she suffers from diabetes and requires ongoing medical care and prescription medication. Her situation worsened when her husband also fell ill, leading to the loss of his job and leaving the family without a steady primary income. To assist with her health management and living expenses, she needs Rs 3,000 monthly, to cover her ongoing doctor visits and medicines. She can be supported through Sadaqa.

Orphan is a Muslim girl who works as household help and lives at my relative’s home. Having lost both of her parents, her family relies on her older brother as the family’s main breadwinner, though his employment is unstable. Her household includes two sisters who stay at home and a younger brother who is deaf and mute. My relative has supported her development by helping her complete schooling up to the third grade and arranging for her Quranic education. To ease her family’s burden, her family is assisted with clothing and monthly Rs 5,000 for ration but another Rs 3,000 per month is required due to rising inflation. She is eligible for Zakat.
