Death is the termination of the worldly life and the beginning of the afterlife, the separation of the soul from the body. A constant which no one can change.

The Day of Judgement is inevitable, Allah says in the Quran, Chapter 75, Verses 8-11: "And the Moon is eclipsed, and the Sun and the Moon are fused together, on that Day man will ask: “Where can I run?” No indeed! There will be no safe place."

The comparison of life on earth with life after death is mentioned in the Quran, Chapter 23, Verses 112-115 as: "[ Allah ] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?"
