Makkah

Makkah or Makkah tul Mukarramah (Makkah the Honored) is the holiest city in Islam. It is home to the biggest and most important mosque in the world, Al-Masjid Al-Haram. At the center lies the most sacred site in Islam, The Kaʿbah, The House of Allah. Muslims all over the globe face towards the Kaʿbah while offering prayer/salah/namaz.

Makkah is the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and the site of Muhammad's SAW first revelation of the Quran. Makkah is visited by more than 15 million Muslims every year to perform Hajj and Umrah.
