Update (28-09-20): Alhumdulillah, the last pending payment has been received and the Dates from Madina for Ramadan 2020 Project is complete. Due to COVID-19, the Dates from Madina for Ramadan 2021 has not been initiated yet.

Update (01-09-20): Alhumdulillah, the dates have been received but one buyer has reported that the dates are spoiled. Due to the circumstances beyond anyone’s control, the delivery got delayed by 5 months and that must have affected the dates badly.

Update (25-08-20): Alhumdulillah, the dates have been dispatched for Karachi using M&P Express Logistics.

Update (27-07-20): The courier services started their operations for Karachi and thus we dispatched the dates but after a few days the dates were sent back. Due to rains in Karachi, the addresses on the boxes got wet and unreadable thus the courier sent them back to Multan.

Update (14-05-20): Assalamualikum, alhumdulillah the dates for Punjab and KPK have been delivered. We are waiting for the courier services to start operations for Karachi to complete the delivery of the remaining dates.

Update (01-05-20): One buyer reported that some of the dates were spoiled. The cause was not determined as he was the only one who reported it thus it can be an exception. He utilized the dates after opening and washing them.

Update (29-04-20): Assalamualikum, alhumdulillah the courier services have started their operations again. From Multan, they have started receiving orders for delivery in Punjab and KPK. The delivery for Karachi has not started yet. We have started the process of dispatching dates.

Update (16-04-20): Assalamualikum, we have waited for a month but the situation has not eased out. No courier service is working at the moment and the new deadline for the end of the lockdown is the end of this month. This means the dates cannot be dispatched before Ramadan. We will be able to dispatch the dates after the courier services start their operations again, insha’Allah. If anyone can manage to pick up the dates then the dates are available in Multan.

Update (17-03-20): Assalamualikum, the dates for outside Multan/Rawalpindi/Islamabad have reached Multan and are ready for dispatch but due to coronavirus concerns, Bilal Daewoo and Leopard Courier wants to spray some medicine on the dates before dispatch. We are not comfortable with it as we are not sure how it would affect the dates. As there is still time in Ramadan, we want to wait for a few more days to see if the situation changes and will dispatch the dates accordingly inshaAllah.

Update (11-03-20): Assalamualikum, the dates ordered for Multan are ready for pickup, Contact Person, Time and Location details have been sent to you in a PM. Plz pick up as soon as possible. It is recommended to refrigerate the dates if you are storing for a longer period of time, take out of the refrigerator a day before the consumption. Plz proceed with the payment if it’s still pending.

Update (08-03-20): Assalamualikum, the dates ordered for Islamabad/Rawalpindi are ready for pickup, Contact Person, Time and Location details have been sent to you in a PM. Plz pick up as soon as possible. An arrangement has been made for pick up in Islamabad as well. It is recommended to refrigerate the dates if you are storing for a longer period of time, take out of the refrigerator a day before the consumption. Plz proceed with the payment if it’s still pending.

One box was opened by customs and as usual, they didn’t repack it properly, some of the dates boxes inside were broken and due to the recent rain, some dates got wet. One buyer was kind enough to accept the wet dates. Half kg dates had got spoiled due to the rainwater thus a refund was given to a buyer.

Update (10-02-20): Assalamualikum, Dates have been sent to Rawalpindi and Multan using Cargo by Ship service on 9th February 2020. Expected Delivery Time is within 2 Months, I will inshaAllah inform you once the dates will be ready for pickup in Rawalpindi and Multan. The cost of your dates and payment info has been sent in a PM, plz inform me once the payment is done, jazakAllah khair. For those who are in another city, I will inshaAllah inform you about the total cost after the dates will be sent to you from Multan.

Dates from Madina for Ramadan 2020 Project-7

The following text was published on 13th January 2020:

Assalamualikum, like the last 4 years, inshaAllah, I am planning to send Dates from Madina to Pakistan before Ramadan:

Date of Placing Order: Before Monday, 27th January 2020 (I am planning to visit Madina soon inshaAllah)

Purchase Location: Dates Farm in Madina near Masjid Quba

Cargo Company: Shama Pakistan Cargo in Riyadh using Cargo by Sea service (U might receive damaged/cracked/broken boxes but as per the previous experience, it should not affect the dates)

Expected Time of Arrival in Pakistan: Before Ramadan

Arrival Locations: Chaklala Scheme 1, Rawalpindi and Askaria Colony 1, Multan

You will have to pick up the dates from these locations, If u r in another city then Dates can be sent to u from Multan via Leopard Courier (last year rate was Rs 250/kg) or Bilal Daewoo (last year rate was Rs 165/kg). If u r planning to store the dates for a longer time period then it is advisable to store in the fridge.

Expected Rates of High Quality Dates + Cargo + Arrangements(per kg): (Finalized Rates will be shared after the shipment) These rates are on “No Profit No Loss” basis:

  • Ajwa: SR 57 = Rs 2,350
  • Amber: SR 65 = Rs 2,700
  • Mabroom: SR 45 = Rs 1,850
  • Sugai: SR 42 = Rs 1,750
  • Safawi/Kalmi: SR 40 = Rs 1,650
  • Sukri: SR 35 = Rs 1,450
  • Khudri: SR 35 = Rs 1,450

Payment: Payment in Advance can be made through any of the following channels: I will inform u about the payment details once the cost is finalized.

If u r interested then plz place ur order ASAP, plz also share ur Complete Name, Email Address, Mobile Number and City Name. If you are outside Rawalpindi/Islamabad/Multan then plz share your Complete Mailing Address and CNIC # and if Leopard Courier or Bilal Daewoo should be used.

If you would like to have dates in Riyadh for Ramadan then plz place your order now as I might not be able to visit Madina again before Ramadan.

Once the order is placed, it is not changeable or refundable.

          i have extracted ur order, it was for Ramadan 2017. I did not receive any complain for the remaining 167 kg dates, and other r ordering dates every year. all of these were packed together in Madina and were segregated randomly in islamabad, very strange how ur dates got effected, but still if u had mentioned at that time, I could have talked to the seller. that is evident that u didn’t complain coz I didn’t even know b4 today but I am feeling bad that u couldn’t enjoy good dates.

You must tell him., Jin dates per side per “dhakkan” nahi laga hota wo definitely Keera lagi hoti hay. Doosri pehchan ye hoti hay k andar bhi excretion k remains, mitti ki tarah k miltay hain., 95% almost, I asked him about %age of bad dates 👆, Hope you can look into it. I send almost all dates as gift every year. And I believe most people do not give feedback. But if we get such feedback, I believe the supplier needs to be held accountable or simply change supplier., Hi Nauman, I checked about your above queries. The dates were kept in fridge after picking up. Only couple of boxes had minor cracks while most boxes were fine. The person reporting the bad dates is not throwing away the bad ones rather washing & eating., Have you taken up with the supplier & what’s his stance?, The person who gave his feedback said most dates don’t have capes & have keera in them. When I asked about the %age then he mentioned 95%., I asked my family to check the dates which were at my home & they checked some but these were without any keera., I think it’s a case of mixing different quality of dates, or mixing some old season dates with fresh season dates. I witnessed the same when I’ve bought dates from Medina myself & this was explained by a date supplier, so I paid a bit extra to get the dates which were fresh from the latest season., I’ll look forward to your feedback once you’ve talked to the supplier.”
