[Completed] – Request for Donations for an Urgent Surgery of a Female Patient in Karachi

Update (12-07-20): Alhumdulillah, my colleague was able to arrange Rs 120,000 and remaining Rs 30,000 have been collected and transferred to Ali Akhtar’s account. JazakAllah khair for your contributions.

Update (12-07-20): The female patient is taking medicine and there is one more surgery due for her. The patient’s husband doesn’t have money for the surgery and he is already in debt of around Rs 750,000. In meanwhile, he got infected with COVID-19, alhumdulillah he has recovered but his father got infected as well and his father’s health is deteriorating very fast. Doctors have recommended him to get his father admitted to the hospital but the hospital has asked for an advance of Rs 100,000 (SAR 2,325) for the admission. At the moment he is looking for urgent financial support to get his father admitted.

Update (11-03-20): Alhumdulillah, Rs 271,000 have been collected and transferred to Ali Akhtar’s account, whereas my colleague was able to collect another Rs 80,000, thus the required amount has been collected. JazakAllah khair for your contributions.

The patient’s husband was my university class fellow in Karachi. His wife started suffering from an intestinal issue in November 2019. She started experiencing extreme pains and was unable to eat anything. He took her to Aga Khan Hospital, where they treated her in December 2019 and charged Rs 150,000. We arranged a loan for him to pay the amount. That treatment did not cure the disease. The hospital then performed surgery of infected intestine in February 2020 and charged Rs 600,000. We were again able to arrange a loan for him to pay off the amount. But just after 2 weeks of the surgery, his wife started suffering from the pains again. Aga Khan Hospital then referred the case to Patel Hospital, where they have recommended another surgery and the amount required for the surgery is around Rs 500,000. They won’t start the surgery unless the money deposit is made urgently in the hospital.

In the meanwhile, his mother got infected with a chest infection and she is suffering from extreme chest congestion, which is preventing her from breathing properly. She has been admitted in Shan Hospital, where her treatment is underway and it will cost him around Rs 100,000. Her medical reports are available below.

Although he is an engineer in SUPARCO, but now he is already in a debt of Rs 750,000 and is unable to arrange another Rs 600,000 required for the treatment of his wife and mother, who are in a critical situation. We have already gathered donations of Rs 260,000. We are looking for your support to gather the remaining Rs 340,000 by tomorrow 11th March 2020.
