Msg from a colleague in STC:
We are planning to arrange iftar in Jamia Masjid Hussain Bin Ali, situated in Sharqpur Shareef, Pakistan, with support from brothers like yourself. Target is to arrange Iftar of 100 people per day for the whole month of Ramadan. My elder brother is arranging it alhamdulillah.
Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani narrated that the Messenger (SAW) of Allah said:
“Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person’s), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person.”
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 807, Book 8, Hadith 126
The same hadith has been narrated in Sunan Ibn Majah: It was narrated from Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Whoever gives food for a fasting person to break his fast, he will have a reward like theirs, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest.”
Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 1, Book 7, Hadith 1746
