Update (05-01-21): Alhumdulillah, the boundary wall of the masjid is partially complete. An additional trolley of bricks is required to complete the construction.

The following text was published on 16th July 2020:

The following message is from my college class fellow, who lives in Multan and he knows the Imam of this Masjid personally, who is a resident of Basti Lotkiwala and is responsible for the construction of this Masjid:

This is the central Makki Jamia Masjid of Basti Lotkiwala on the outskirts of Multan. The Masjid is located on the road connecting Bahawalpur Road and Dunya Pur Road. The old Masjid comprised of 8 marlas but with the increasing population of the settlement (basti), it was not enough to accommodate all people. Thus, the construction of a bigger masjid was started, which comprised of 1 kanal and which can accommodate around 800 people. Basti Lotkiwala comprises of around 250 houses.

The construction of the basement of the Masjid with dimensions 84×27 feet is complete. It has a capacity of 7 to 8 rows (saffain) and two staircases. The construction of the walls is in progress with 8 windows of dimensions 8×6 feet each. The construction of the roof, floor, minaret and washrooms is pending. Please join in this noble cause.
