The following message is from a contact, who lives in Riyadh and knows this tailor personally:
My contact knows this tailor for several years as he lives in the neighborhood. He works at a tailor shop in Olaya District, Riyadh. He earns SAR 23 for sewing one thawb. He used to sew around five thawbs per day before COVID-19 but since the lockdown, he lost his earning and even after the lockdown, the business is very slow and he is only able to sew one to two thawbs per day.
He has a wife, four children and old parents, who live in Shahdara near Lahore. Due to COVID-19, he couldn’t send any money back to his family for the last two months and his family is now under a debt of Rs 250,000. His Iqama renewal is due soon, which will cost SAR 12,000. His kafeel will pay SAR 6,000 and he has to arrange the remaining SAR 6,000. He has been able to arrange SAR 1,600 in the last two months and my contact has been able to arrange SAR 1,000. He is looking for financial support of SAR 3,400 (Rs 147,050) to pay the renewal fee of his Iqama. He is eligible for Zakat.
If you would like to donate any money then it will be transferred to my contact’s bank account. Donations can be made through any of the following channels:
