Looming winter is the next challenge for over 8 million flood affectees. Support ‘Alkhidmat Winter Appeal’ to help us provide displaced families with life-saving protection, warmth to survive in this winter.

Five months are on after devastating floods badly hit 116 districts across Pakistan, millions of people remain displaced from their homes and needs continue to grow. Over 33 millions flood affectees are struggling to rebuild their lives, livelihoods and damaged homes, reunite with families and recover from the trauma of floods. They are in urgent need of financial assistance, having lost their jobs and incomes, while the price of essentials continues to rise.

Winter is just around the corner and winters in displaced-flood-torn-Pakistan are very harsh and severe, extremely cold. For millions, the coming months will be yet another grueling winter compounded by the fears and uncertainties of displacement. And winter is a particularly dangerous time of year in mountainous areas as temperatures can plummet below zero. So we must do everything possible to prevent the cold of winter from becoming the next challenge for people who already have to face so much in their lives.

In flood-torn areas, Alkhidmat is delivering beddings, blankets and warm clothes to help vulnerable displaced families through the harsh winter months.
