Update (13-11-19): A contact has informed about TLF – The Liver Foundation in Karachi, which offers free treatment for deserving liver cancer patients. TLF – The Liver Foundation is a part of Al Rehman International Trust. They also have an up to date Facebook page The Liver Foundation – Facebook.
Update (07-11-19): Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital also suggested that the disease is at an advanced stage as thus nothing further can be done. They referred the case to MINAR (Multan Institute Of Nuclear Medicine And Radiology), where a medicine has been prescribed, which has provided some relief to the patient. My colleague has requested for prayers. Detailed voice msg from my colleague is as follows:
Update (25-10-19): JazakAllah khair for your guidance, advises and suggestions, which are available in the comments below. Based on the feedback, a relative of the patient visited Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital in Lahore with all medical reports but the hospital refused to comment without the physical presence of the patient. Thus they are now taking the patient to SKCH, Lahore. My colleague has advised them to explore other suggested options (Doctors Hospital and PKLI) in Lahore as well, incase SKCH refuses to admit the patient.

Msg from a colleague in STC:
Dear All,
One of my friend’s father is sick and the doctor is suspecting liver cancer and has informed that nothing more can be done. He is currently in CMH, Multan. He doesn’t have enough knowledge and information to deal with this situation. Please, I need your guidance and advises on what can be done in this situation, like if you can suggest any doctor or hospital where he can visit. Some people have indicated that they should visit China for Liver Transplant. I am sending you their test reports. Waiting for your kind response. God bless you and your parents. Ameen.

“Can he travel? We have a had experience when the patient was told about her heart from Pak doctors something similar but live and kicking since last almost 19 years after being treated in Thailand. But no guarantees as you can understand. May be the worst is liver transplant.
What about SKH, I heard they are good.
However the doctors in Thailand won’t give any opinion based on reports. That’s for sure. He need to visit physically”

“My cousin is a doctor specializing in this field, following comments from him:
“They need a biopsy of that liver mass
There is a possible mass in gall bladder too. It could be hepatobiliary; if gallbladder has a mass then poor prognosis; if primary liver then transplant should be offered. It needs a biopsy though
Also, they need to put a drain to improve that bilirubin or the guy will die just from that”
Do let me know more details, As you get them”
