[Completed] – Request for Donations for a Cancer Patient in Rawalpindi

While working on the Ration Distribution Project, my cousin came across this divorced woman with two small kids. She used to work as a maid but due to the lockdown, she is out of work. Her mother is a cancer patient, who also use to work as a maid but she had to discontinue her work due to her illness. The mother used to get a cheque from Punjab Bait-ul-Maal, which was used on her treatment and medicine but she is not able to receive that cheque at the moment. She will visit Punjab Bait-ul-Maal again on Monday, 18th May 2020, in the hope to get her cheque.

My cousin provided them with the ration for the month of March and April 2020 and he is arranging ration for them for the month of May 2020 as well. He also donated money for the medicine. The chemotherapy of the mother is due, they received some donations from other people and the mother visited the hospital on Wednesday, 6th May 2020 for the chemotherapy but the doctor recommended her some X-Rays and medical tests and thus that money was spent on that. Now her chemotherapy is getting delayed further, she is in a lot of pain and her next appointment for the chemotherapy is for Monday, 18th May 2020. The medicine for a week is also costing them from Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000.

They are in immediate need of Rs 20,000 (SAR 476) for the following:

• Rs 10,000 for the chemotherapy, scheduled for Monday, 18th May 2020.
• Rs 10,000 for the medicine for this month.
