Update (01-03-25): Alhamdulillah, Rs 240,350 were collected, enabling the purchase of 546 kg of dates. The dates, packed in 60 boxes, have been received by my father, who will begin distribution tomorrow (1st Ramadan in Pakistan). These Zahedi dates have been imported from Qirokarzin, Iran. Like the previous 6 years, inshaAllah we will be distributing dates in the month of Ramadan among:
- Students and Teachers of the boarding Quran Schools (madrasas) where iftar is arranged
- Mosques (masajid) where iftar is arranged
- Travelers and Coolies on Railway Stations and Bus Stations
- Orphan Children of SOS Village
- Needy / Underprivileged
Due to cargo issues at the Karachi port, we couldn’t send dates from Saudi Arabia. We are purchasing dates in Pakistan this year. We have arranged a wholesale price of Rs 440/kg (SAR 6/kg). The distribution of the dates in Multan will be managed by my father. Plz have a look at his feedback on the previous years’ projects at the links below.
